Liv Lindley, is a London based lifestyle brand underpinned by the belief that we can all benefit from a little affordable luxury in our every-day lives. Silk accessories deliver just that - they make us feel indulgent and improve our sense of wellbeing.

STORY BEHIND LAUNCHING

Liv Lindley was born during the pandemic when I was made redundant from my role as an Accessories Buyer, after the business I was working for fell into administration. I decided to use my 10+ years experience working for some of the UK's largest retailers developing beautiful products, to launch my own collection of silk accessories. I use my fabric knowledge to source the most luxurious quality silk: Grade 6A 100% Mulberry silk which is recognised as the highest quality in the world. The momme refers to the density of the silk fibre- my designs are 22mm, providing the perfect combination of durability, practicality and affordable pure luxury.

THE WHY BEHIND MY BRAND

One of the core values of the business is to help people find time in their busy schedules for a little everyday self-care. The pandemic had many knock-on effects and created unexpected challenges for many people, myself included. I saw many people struggle with sleep, stress and anxiety and the impact this was having on their mental wellbeing, so I wanted to find a solution to help. The many advantages of silk are still not widely realised, so my 'Silkology' concept helps explain all of the health and well-being benefits of switching to silk. I’m looking forward to expanding my collection, helping more and more people find that time in their busy schedules for a little everyday self-care.

SUSTAINABILITY VALUES

Sustainability and slow living are important values of the brand; I aim to promote a slow fashion model by developing beautiful, timeless accessories that last a lifetime. Reducing consumption and instead purchasing products that are made to last is one of the best ways we can help save the planet. All of my silk is free from toxic dyes; only eco-friendly dyes are used, certified STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. (This is one of the world’s best known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances so you can be confident our silk is harmless for human health). I am also part of the eco-packaging alliance, meaning my packaging is eco-friendly, sustainable and recyclable.
